In 2008, I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Jewelry and Metalworking. This upcoming Fall, I will be a Master of Fine Arts candidate in Jewelry and Metalworking at the Rhode Island School of Design. I began studying jewelry in 2003 at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, South Carolina. I also studied jewelry at Alchimia, a contemporary jewelry school in Florence, Italy in 2008.
Drawing and painting have been a part of life since I first began taking art classes and attending art camps as a child. In 2006, I was immersed in the studies of drawing and watercolor while abroad in Costa Rica, Ecuador, and the Galapagos Islands. In 2007, I continued that study while abroad in Cuba.
Now, I am pursuing my career in art through commissions, studio assistantships, and graduate school. I am continuing to learn, practice, and renew my appreciation and love for art.
